Pink-clad snow tubers from across the region are gathering on Perfect North Slopes for Perfectly Pink Tubing Days, a three-day event that has become an annual tradition at this family-owned ski slopes in southeastern Indiana.
The event started Tuesday and concludes Thursday.
Sponsored by the Dearborn County Convention, Visitor & Tourism Bureau, the event raises funds for the bureau's Tour for the Cure initiative, a travel incentive program that benefits the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer.
Participants in Perfectly Pink are invited to wear pink to show their support of the cause throughout the three-day event. At the end of Perfectly Pink Tubing Days, Perfect North will make a special donation to benefit Tour for the Cure.
Perfect North is also once again offering a special Perfectly Pink Tubing coupon good for $5 off one Perfectly Pink tubing pass. Participants must print and present the coupon (available at www.tourforthecure.info) at the time of purchase in order to be eligible for the discount.
Through a variety of overnight travel packages, day trips, luncheons, group excursions and special events, the bureau's Tour for the Cure initiative has raised more than $47,000 for the Vera Bradley Foundation since 2008.
A nonprofit foundation affiliated with Vera Bradley Designs, Inc., the foundation works to support breast cancer research through their endowed chair at Indiana University.
