TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A strip club on Tucson's east side was heavily damaged by fire on Wednesday morning.

According to the Tucson Fire Department, crews were called to TD's Showclub at in the 5800 block of East Speedway Boulevard at about 4:50 a.m.

Callers to 911 reported seeing smoke coming from the building. The smoke was so thick, firefighters could not safely enter the building, so they cut a hole in the roof to clear the smoke.

No injuries were reported.

The cause and origin of the fire are being investigated.

Building Safety officials were also on scene to investigate the building, which was heavily damaged by smoke.
