CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

The Cincinnati Reds and starting pitcher Homer Bailey have reached an agreement on a six-year, $105 million contract extension, MLB.com's Mark Sheldon reports.

According to Sheldon, the deal comes with a mutual option for a seventh year worth $25 million with a $5 million buyout.

Bailey said Monday morning at spring training that the two sides were "really close" on a multi-year deal.

The Reds have not made an announcement about the deal.
