A homicide investigation out of Fulton County is moving forward, but there are still no answers yet as to how 28-year-old Brandi Gonyer-Boaston ended up in a car, dead.

Gonyer-Boaston was found in her car on Saturday. The Lucas County Coroner determined she died of asphyxiation. Those who knew her say they're still in shock.

"She was a good person, so for anybody to do this – it makes no sense," said Ashley Martin, Gonyer-Boaston's best friend.

Martin says Brandi loved her friends, family, her job as a nurse, and most of all, her kids.

"Those kids were her life," Martin said. "She dedicated her life to raising those kids and being the best mom that she could possibly be."

Now six young children are without a mom, and the family is still desperately looking for answers.

"I want whoever did this to pay," Martin said. "I want to find out, so if there are any leads, if anybody knows anything, I need them to contact the police. I need to know."

A memorial fund has been set up for Gonyer-Boaston. Donations can be made at any Huntington bank, and will go toward funeral costs and child care.
