HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A man accused of a high school coach's murder is scheduled to go before a Lauderdale County judge Friday morning for a preliminary and bond hearing.

Jeremy LeShun Williams is charged with capital murder for Brioni Rutland's murder. 

Rutland served as a volunteer high school football coach in Tuscumbia.

His body was found weighed down by concrete blocks in the Tennessee River after Thanksgiving.

 

Another court hearing for Friday morning will determine where a trial will be held for a woman accused of forcing her granddaughter to run until she collapsed and died.

Joyce Garrard is scheduled to go before an Etowah County judge for a hearing about her request for a change of venue.

Garrard's trial is currently set to begin June 23rd.

Savannah Hardin run laps around her home after she lied about eating candy.

The girl's stepmother Jessica Hardin is also facing charges in this case.
