AUBURN, AL (WTVM) -

Caleb Hyles, a 22-year-old Auburn University student and Montgomery native, dreams of one day making it to the big stage and he is well on his way.

When he uploaded his version of "Let it Go" from Disney's Frozen to YouTube, he expected it to be just another cover of the song to get lost the Internet.

"I thought 'Ok, maybe I'll get some traffic because of the popularity of it all,' but my video never really took off. I get like 500 views every now and then, maybe on got 1,000 over several months, but this has been really crazy and really unexpected," says Hyles.

In just a few short weeks, Hyles' video past three million views and is gaining attention from people all over the world.

"I've had people in the Philippines, South Korea, someone in Australia, countries I have never even heard of. The response has been overwhelming, but that's because of the fact Frozen the movie has gone global, that its reach is worldwide and because of that my video is able to take root in several different countries and become something that is very important to people that they want to share," explains Hyles.

Hyles has been recording covers of various songs at his home and posting them to his YouTube channel for years.

After being influenced by his parents at a young age, he grew up singing in his church, but never fully believing in his talent until now.

He says this new found recognition is helping see the possibility of a career in show business.

"That would be the dream, that is absolutely the dream and its becoming ever so slightly more of a reality, but I'm just trying keep my feet on the ground and my head right here and not up there, keeping everything normal," says Hyles.
