The DEMSI ambulance service in Decatur may be put out ofservice by the city.

Decatur's EMS Committee voted to recommendrevoking DEMSI's license. The City Council will have the final say, likelyvoting on this at their next meeting on Mar. 3.

DEMSI's ambulances went out of service for several hoursback on Feb. 7. EMS officials said DEMSI reneged on its agreement with the cityby not keeping at least two ambulances in service all of the time and a thirdambulance in service 12 hours a day.
