JACKSON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

A convicted murderer will not get a new trial.

The state court of appeals denied Michael Bunch's request. A judge had denied his previous request for a new trial in 2013.

Bunch was convicted for killing Lisa Harper and dumping her body. Harper went missing in December 2009 and her body was later found near the Marshall and Jackson County line.

Bunch has been sentenced to life in prison.
