SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

Fire crews contained a grass fire that was threatening a structure Saturday afternoon in Smith County.

The fire was located off of Nelwyn Lane near Whitehouse. This is located off of Adele Lane south of FM 346 west of Whitehouse.

The Whitehouse Fire Chief tells us that crews from Whitehouse and Flint were able to knock the fire down and contain it before it spread to a nearby structure. It burned around two acres.
