The timing was perfect for the Fourth Annual Rocket CityWeather Fest.

The event for the public and weather enthusiasts washosted by the student chapter of the American Meteorological Society andNational Weather Association on UAH's campus.

Weather experts and vendors were on hand to answer everyquestion along with gadgets and tools to prepare the public for the next bigweather maker.

"We want our community to be educated so they know whichactions to take with whatever the weather presents," said Elise Schultz,co-chair of the event. "If there is snow, they know how to prepare, if there issevere weather, they know where to take shelter."

The event capped off Alabama Severe Weather AwarenessWeek.
