BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -
The Tuscaloosa County Homicide Unit says they have charged a woman with the attempted murder of her son.
On Friday around midnight, investigators responded to the 11000 block of Skelton Road on the report of a firearm discharge. The victim, a 28-year-old male, had contacted 911 and said his mother had tried to shoot him. He said his mother had been drinking heavily and was upset with him over the use of a vehicle when she fired a .38 caliber handgun at him three times. The victim was unharmed.
52-year-old Amanda Williams was charged with attempted murder and taken to the Tuscaloosa County Jail. She is being held on a $60,000 bond.
