DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

A Decatur man was arrested after police pulled him over and found synthetic marijuana.

Decatur officers pulled Patrick Bernard Alexander over on Monday just north of the U.S. 31 bridge for an equipment violation. Officers said that during the stop, they found synthetic marijuana, or spice, on him.

Police arrested Alexander and then served a search warrant at a room registered to him at Studio 9. They found more spice there.

Alexander faces several charges, including trafficking and possession of a controlled substance. He will be transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $9,000 bond.
