BILOXI, Miss. (AP) - Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove says an Alabama man whose remains were recovered from the Mississippi Sound drowned.

The Sun Herald reports the coroner released the cause of death for 65-year-old Joseph Davis, Mobile, Ala., after an autopsy was performed Monday.

His body was recovered about 8 p.m. Sunday just south of the Biloxi Bay Bridge.

His family had last seen him Wednesday at the nearby Golden Nugget casino.

Detective Steve Schlicht said the family reported he had health problems and had not taken his medicine.

Police said they were not expecting foul play to be involved.

The coroner said the investigation continues.
