Two men arrested for robbery, burglary and assault in Auburn

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Auburn Police say two men have been arrested in connection with a case involving burglary, robbery and assault.

Police say 19-year-old Justin C. Gold and 20-year-old Justin M. Clark have been arrested on felony warrants and charged with burglary second degree, robbery second degree and assault third degree.

Around 3:35 a.m. Tuesday morning police responded to a report of glass breaking near the 400 block of N. Dean Road. When they arrived they were met by the victim who informed them the suspects broke into a window of his home and entered while he was asleep. One of the suspects them assaulted him, while the others rummaged the residence.

The two suspects fled before taking any property and the resident was left with minor injuries. After investigation is was determined that one of the suspects had cut himself at the scene. They were later located at a local hospital and taken into custody.

Both have been transported to the Lee County Detention Facility with a $130,000 bond each.
