TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Tucson Police arrested a man on sexual assault charges involving a 79-year-old woman who lived at an assisted care facility, officials said.

Kenneth Tim Wilson, 47, was a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Villa Maria Care Center in the 4300 block of E. Grant Road at the time of the incident and provided direct care to the victim and other residents, according to the Tucson office of the Attorney General's office.

The victim reported the abuse happened as many as 20 times last year. According to the interim complaint, the victim said she was afraid and told her daughter twice about the alleged abuse.

"There have been no arrests at the Villa Maria property," Villa Maria Executive Director Virginia Leacock said in a statement. "Through KOLD-TV, we have just learned the name of the man arrested."

She said the living facility discovered the allegations in December and called Tucson Police, Adult Protective Services, the Board of Nursing and state regulators at the Department of Health Services.

Wilson was suspended and then fired.

"Villa Maria has an overall 'A' rating from the State of Arizona and has a three star rating from Medicare," Leacock said.

Wilson was interviewed and made no admissions to the allegations, according to the interim complaint.

Tucson Police booked him into the Pima County Jail on Feb. 27 on charges of sexual assault, sexual abuse and emotional abuse of a vulnerable adult, the Attorney General's office said.
