TUCSON, Ariz. – No. 11 Arizona Wildcat women's golf will continue the spring season with the Bruin Wave Invitational, hosted by UCLA and Pepperdine. Held at the El Caballero Country Club in Tarzana, Calif., competition will take place Mon.-Tues., March 3-4.

Two rounds of play will be held Monday (9 a.m. MT shotgun start) with the final round slated for Tuesday (7:30 a.m. tee time). El Caballero Country Club is a par 72, 6,173-yard course.

Juniors Kendall Prince and Andrea Vilarasau, sophomore Lindsey Weaver and freshmen Jessica Vasilic and Wanasa Zhou will be competing for the Wildcats this weekend. By Golfweek.com, Zhou is ranked No. 18, Weaver is ranked No. 26, Vilarasau is No. 86, Vasilic is No. 93 and Prince is ranked No. 105.

No. 11 Arizona, BYU, No. 26 California, Cal State Northridge, Colorado, Long Beach State, New Mexico State, No. 12 Oklahoma State, Oregon State, Pepperdine, No. 44 San Diego State, UNC Wilmington, No. 2 UCLA, UNLV, No. 1 USC, No. 9 Washington and Washington State will play in Tarzana this weekend. Last time out, the Wildcats finished sixth for its fourth top-10 finish of the season at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge. Arizona was one of five Pac-12 teams in the field to finish in the top 10. Weaver was Arizona's top finisher, sharing eighth place. She collected rounds of 72, 70 and 74 for a combined score of 216 (+3).

The Wildcats will have a busy slate with the 2014 spring competition schedule. Trips include Palos Verdes, Calif., Tarzana, Calif., Gainesville, Fla., Tempe, Ariz. and Napa, Calif. The championship season begins with the Pac-12 Championships, April 25-27, in Corvallis, Ore., hosted by Oregon State.

UA welcomes back juniors Manon Gidali, Prince and Vilarasau from the 2012-13 squad that finished eighth at the NCAA Championships. Vasilic and Zhou joined the team as true freshmen, Shelby Martinek is a junior transfer and Weaver is a sophomore transfer.
