MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Footprints ministry held its annual Footprints to the Finish Line 5K run on Saturday.

Participants from all across the River Region took part in the 5K run in order to help raise money for the organization.  The goal was to help raise funds for the needs of families with children in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Baptist Hospital.

"Our mission is to share the love of Christ in the NICU. We do gift bags for families with a lot of comforting items, we provide hotel stays and gas cards, and help with funeral expenses," said Kim Wilson, Footprints Ministry Founder. "Any kind of need the family might have during their stay in the NICU we try to assist with."

Big AL, Aubie, and the Biscuits' Big Mo were able to come out to the event to help cheer on runners.
