HOLLYWOOD, CA (WAFF) -

A Shoals native earned a new piece ofhardware to show off at Sunday's Academy Awards.

Adruitha Lee took home the Oscar for BestHairstyle and Makeup alongside Robin Matthews at Sunday's ceremony. The twocollaborated on the film "Dallas Buyers Club."

Lee started her career in the Shoals beforemoving to Nashville and making it to the studio lots and movie sets of Hollywood.She has worked with a number of stars and other big films, including theAcademy's other big winner, "12 Years a Slave."
