Robin Thicke aims to woo Paula Patton back with songs, flowers

He crooned that he was perhaps out of his mind in Blurred Lines, and now a love-sick Robin Thicke is pulling out all of the stops to woo back estranged wife Paula Patton.

Flowers reportedly from Thicke have been delivered to their Los Angeles area home. And the pop singer has twice now belted out in concert a tune aimed at softening the actress' heart.

This came after his apparent last-ditch efforts to prevent a separation around Valentine's Day weekend failed.

The couple announced late last month that they were separating.

"We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time," the couple said at the time.

Thicke, 36, and Patton, 38, met when they were teenagers. They had a son, Julian Fuego Thicke, in 2010.

Thicke had a breakthrough last year with the international hit Blurred Lines, which was nominated for several Grammy Awards. Patton has appeared in the films Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, Idlewild and Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire.

He is the son of Alan Thicke and soap star Gloria Loring.

Patton also appeared in Robin Thicke's music videos, including Lost Without U and Love After War. She was the inspiration behind most of his music, and she appeared on the cover of his 2003 debut, A Beautiful World.

A beaming Patton was at an Oscar party this weekend sans wedding ring. But Robin Thicke has been wearing his while performing.

During a concert late last week, he said, "For y'all that don't know, me and my wife separated, but I'm trying to get my girl back. She's a good woman."

He dedicated his rendition of Lost Without U and reminded concertgoers that he had originally written the song for Patton. He told a cameraman for TMZ that he was "just trying" to get her back.

Then in Atlantic City on Monday night, a fan yelled out, "I love Paula!"

"I do too," Robin Thicke replied.

He and his band then belted out Al Green's song, Let's Stay Together.

The separation came after Robin Thicke drew scrutiny for his antics with other women and Miley Cyrus twerked on him during the MTV awards show.

Patton has not posted on Twitter since the separation was announced. She did share on Instagram a picture that says, "Everything happens for a reason. If you love something let it go, if it comes back it's yours, if it doesn't, it never was, and it's not meant to be."

Tabloid and gossip sites indicate so far she's not been impressed by his wooing of afar and wants more than insincere singing.
