BAKER, LA (WAFB) -

A Baton Rouge man has been arrested after the Baker Police say they found him with drugs, weapons, and thousands in cash during a raid Friday night.

According to the probable cause report, 21-year-old Robert Cole is charged with attempted murder, drug and gun charges after officers raided his house on Truman Street. Baker officials say the attempted murder charge comes from a drug deal when Cole allegedly sold heroin to another man, who nearly died after injecting himself.

He was revived and is now listed in stable condition.

During the raid, investigators discovered several bags of marijuana, foil packs of suspected heroin, two bottles of codeine, a loaded gun, and an unlocked black box containing $5,520 cash.

The report discloses that the Baker Police say Cole is a convicted felon who is on probation from a burglary charge and is not allowed to have a gun in his possession. Cole was charged with attempted 2nd degree murder, possession with the intent to distribute a schedule 1 drug (heroin), illegal possession of a firearm by a convict, possession of a schedule 1 drug (marijuana), and possession of a schedule 2 drug (codeine).

He is being held in the EBR Parish Prison in lieu of a $245,000 bail.
