PANOLA COUNTY, TX (KSLA) -

A search for missing child had a happy ending in Panola County, Texas.

Just before noon Sunday, the Panola Sheriff's Office received a call from a mother on FM 699, in the old Center community.  She said her 6-year-old son had run into the woods and she couldn't find him.

Deputies along with volunteers from the Woods and Tenaha volunteer fire departments began combing the wooded area for the child.  

The boy was reunited with his family just before 2 p.m.
