MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

The two 19-year-old Taco Bell employees charged with capital murder in the death of the restaurant's night manager had their initial court appearances Tuesday in Montgomery.

Renauldous Jamal Chisholm and Kenneth Duane Temple, both of Montgomery, were arrested Monday afternoon and charged in the death of Vettia Roche, 43, of Montgomery.

Montgomery police say the initial investigation indicates Roche was killed during a robbery while she was leaving the restaurant, located in the 5300 block of Atlanta Highway.

According to court documents, Roche was shot multiple times and struck multiple times with a car jack.

MPD and Fire Medics were called to the Taco Bell around 7:30 a.m. Monday on a report that a body had been found. When investigators arrived, they found Roche behind the restaurant. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

Chisholm and Temple are being held in the Montgomery County Jail without bond.

The restaurant opened around noon Monday and then closed again later in the afternoon. A note posted on the door apologized for the inconvenience. An anonymous person later left a response note next to it saying, "It's not an inconvenience, we're sorry for your loss, fear , and grief. Stay safe" and signed it "Your customers, your community."

Wednesday the owners of the restaurant released this statement: "This is a very sad and unfortunate human tragedy that has shocked us all, and our thoughts and prayers are with Vettia's loved ones. We closed the store the last few days so we could focus on our team members and we are truly grateful for the outpouring of support that this community has shown."

This is Montgomery's second homicide of 2014.
