MORGAN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
One of the two toddlers found in a pool at a house in Somerville has died, representatives from Huntsville Hospital confirmed Tuesday night.
Two babysitters found the toddlers in the pool at a home on Callie Private Drive in Somerville after they ran out of the house.
Emergency responders performed CPR when a pulse could not initially be found. After regaining heartbeats in the two children, they were transported to the hospital.
The children have not been officially identified, but officials said Monday they are 2 and 3-year-old cousins. Tuesday night, hospital representatives confirmed the 3-year-old child died. The 2-year-old remains in critical condition and is in the intensive care unit.
Sheriff Ana Franklin said there is no sign of foul play involved with the incident.
