Two men arrested for burglary and theft in Auburn

AUBURN, AL (WSFA) -

The Auburn Police Division has arrested two teenagers on charges of burglary and robbery. Anthony J. Arnold, 18, and Joshua M Cameron, 19, were both arrested on felony warrants for third degree burglary and theft of property.

According to officials, police officers responded to a call at noon on March 10 of an alarm going off at a residence in the 300 block of Lee Road 18. When officers arrived they discovered that someone had forcefully entered the residence. A storage shed located on the property was also entered and copper wiring and assorted coins, valued at $800, were stolen.

Police officers immediately began searching nearby areas for the suspects, and were soon informed that two individuals, later identified as Arnold and Cameron, were seen fleeing on bicycles and carrying backpacks. Officers quickly located the two suspect, and the property taken from the residence was found in their possession. The two suspects were taken into custody and the stolen property was recovered.       

Arnold and Cameron were transported to the Lee County Jail where they will be eligible for $4,000 bond.
