LAUDERDALE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Authorities are investigating after dozens of guns were reported stolen during a break-in at White's Trading Post.

Investigators said 30 guns were taken during a "smash and grab" at the building located on Highway 43 in Killen. According to authorities, it happened just before 3 a.m. Thursday.

Security camera footage captured the suspects, who investigators said tie something to the front doors to yank them off their hinges. Glass cases were broken during the burglary. Investigators said it took about five minutes for the suspects to break the cases, grab the guns, and then leave.

Nothing else appears to have been damaged or stolen from inside.

Authorities continue to investigate, saying they hope to get the guns off the streets as quickly as possible. "The sooner you can get something on this before those guns get spread out, the better chance you have," said Travis Clemmons with the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department.

Investigators hope someone will recognize the men in the video or remember seeing something suspicious in the area. It is believed the store was targeted for theft, and not a random act. They said they have a few leads, but no arrests have been made.
