LEE COUNTY, AL (WTVM) -

The Lee County Sheriff's Office says a Facebook post appears to have sparked a confrontation between two men that ended in shots fired.

Eric Woodson runs a neighborhood watch group on Facebook for the Lee County area in Alabama.

Zachary Belitz, 22, told investigators he went over to Woodson's home along Lee Rd. 2105 in order to throw a brick at his home, because he was angry at a post Woodson made on the group's page. The post never mentioned Belitz by name, but referred to a man as "the Walmart Phenix City pervert" and a "Wal-wanker", while calling his wife an idiot for marrying him.

Belitz, who faces charges of indecent exposure in Phenix City, told investigators he drove over to Woodson's home and threw a brick in his yard,

Police say that's when Woodson came out of the house armed with a shotgun, and ran into the street to confront the driver.

Witnesses said that as the truck came toward Woodson, he fired at least two times into the front of the truck.

No one was injured.

Belitz has been charged with disorderly conduct in the incident.

So far, Woodson has not been charged for firing the weapon.

Sheriff Jay Jones says the case will be presented to a Lee County grand jury, and they will decide on possible charges.

Meanwhile, Woodson tells News Leader 9 that he has contacted an attorney, and was just defending his home and family.
