HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
HPD arrested Robin Wayne Penton in connection with the death of Colleen Nanette Penton of Huntsville. The arrest is related to an incident that occurred earlier in the week on Thornmor Drive in South Huntsville.
Penton was taken into custody and charged with homicide upon his release from Huntsville Hospital.
He is charged with murder-domestic violence and is being held in the Madison County Metro Jail on a $500,000 bond.
Authorities said 34-year-old Colleen Penton was found dead inside a home in English Village, Monday morning. Police confirmed they forced their way into the home after receiving a call about a possible murder-suicide.
According to Colleen's family, her husband, Robin Penton, shot her and then tried to overdose on pills.
