AUBURN, AL (WSFA) -

The Auburn Police Department has confirmed that they responded to a call regarding a man being shot.

Auburn Police responded to the shooting around 4:30 p.m. on Monday, which occurred on Byrd Street. Several marked and unmarked police units were on scene as well as medical personnel.

Auburn Police Chief Paul Register says that one man was transported to the East Alabama Medical Center with injuries. He also said that two suspects have been taken into custody.
