MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Several WSFA 12 News viewers who get their service from WOW (formerly Knology) have inquired about signal issues while watching WSFA programming. Here's what we can tell you.

WSFA 12 Engineers have been in contact with WOW officials and the problem seems to affect those with WOW supplied cable boxes watching on channel 11.

The problem occurs intermittently during the down conversion process of WSFA's digital signal from channel 903 to the analog tier on channel 11.

WSFA on channel 903 is stable, while breakup or signal loss occurs on channel 11.

Viewers are encouraged to report the problem, as it happens, directly to WOW customer support, since it is an intermittent issue.

WOW viewers should be able to view a stable signal by switching to channel 903.

This affects only WOW customers. The company is working to repair the issue.
