CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Teddy Kremer will serve as the Honorary Grand Marshal in the 95th Findlay Market Opening Day Parade.

Teddy, who has Down syndrome, was a guest batboy for the Reds at a game in August 2012 and made such an impression that he was invited back as a guest batboy at a game last April. Teddy was also the guest of Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-Ohio) at President Obama's State of the Union speech in 2013.

Thirty-one-year-old Kremer's parents won a silent auction bid at a school fundraiser that led to Teddy being the Reds batboy for a night. The story caught the attention of ESPN and associate producer and Cincinnati native Megan Anderson — daughter of former Bengals quarterback Ken Anderson — produced a piece on Teddy for their newsmagazine program E:60. The piece included many great moments of him interacting with the team and the fans.

Teddy Kremer has become an inspiration for the Reds and for fans across Cincinnati and the country.

Kremer will join Parade Grand Marshal Dave Concepción. The Venezuelan-born shortstop is considered one of the greatest in history.

Concepción was an integral part of the "Great Eight" starting lineup of the Big Red Machine, helping the Reds win two World Series titles in 1975 and 1976

The parade is set to begin at noon on March 31. The Reds will take on the Cardinals at 4:10 p.m.
