NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Two shoppers were reportedly robbed at gunpoint while walking to their car at Opry Mills over the weekend.

The suspect allegedly ran up and pulled a gun on a woman, grabbing her purse.

Police say the suspect then turned to a man the victim was with and demanded that he turn over all of his belongings.

After the suspect ran away, a witness and one of the victims went to notify mall security.

Two off-duty Metro police officers working an extra-duty detail at Opry Mills got to the scene and chased the man, who was later identified as Dallas Parker, and took him to jail.

Police say Parker, 19, dropped the gun and purse while trying to get away.

Parker is facing aggravated robbery charges.
