AUBURN, AL (WSFA) -

The Auburn Police Department is releasing the names of the victims injured or killed in a 3-vehicle crash on Shug Jordan Parkway Tuesday morning.

Investigators say 27-year-old Joel Christopher Finney and 53-year-old Rodney Harcum, Sr., both of Notasulga, were killed in the crash just before 8 a.m.

A third victim, identified 26-year-old Tuskegee resident Latasha Hall, was transported from the scene by medical helicopter to UAB Hospital in Birmingham where she is listed in serious condition.

A fourth victim, identified only as a 23-year-old male from Phenix City, was not injured.

Crews from the Auburn Fire Department and East Alabama Medical Center were called to the 3000 block of Shug Jordan Parkway, between Wire Road and South College Street, at 7:58 a.m.

When first responders arrived, they found one vehicle blocking the road and two others off the roadway.

A preliminary investigation shows that the 2009 Toyota Corolla driven by the Phenix City man and the 2003 Honda CRV driven by Hall were traveling west on Shug Jordan Parkway when they "came in contact", according to police and the Lee County Coroner Bill Harris' office.

As a result, authorities say Hall's Honda and Finney's 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix collided head-on, instantly killing both Finney and Harcum, a passenger in his car. Both died from multiple blunt force impact injuries, according to the coroner.

Coroner Harris says it took rescue crews more than 20 minutes to pull Hall from her vehicle before she could be placed in a medical helicopter.

The investigation is ongoing by the Auburn Police Department and Lee County Coroner's office. Harris' office says alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the crash.
