3 arrested on multiple drug charges in Henry Co. traffic stop

HENRY CO., AL (WSFA) -

Three men are under arrest and now face multiple drug charges in Henry County after law enforcement discovered narcotics during a traffic stop last Friday.

Sheriff Will Maddox says one of his deputies initiated a traffic violation stop along U.S. Highway 431 in Abbeville around 1 a.m. Friday. During the stop, officers found illegal drugs including cocaine, marijuana, "Molly" and barbiturates. The officers also found $2,100 in cash as well as two handguns and a computer with card readers and credit cards.

The three suspects are identified as Atlanta residents Ronell Johnson, Tonny Juliao and Joshua Pitts.

Johnson, is charged with possession of marijuana first degree, 3 counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a concealed weapon without a permit, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held on a $71,000 bond. 

Juliao and Pitts are charged with possession of marijuana first degree, 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a concealed weapon without a permit, and possession of drug paraphernalia. They are each being held under a $66,000 bond.

More charges are pending against each of the suspects.

"I am grateful for the hard work of the department on the never ending war on drugs," Sheriff Maddox said.
