MOULTON, AL (WAFF) -
Police arrested a Moulton doctor in connection with a hit-and-run.
Police said Hall was involved in a hit-and-run that happened on March 14. According to investigators, a woman was injured in the wreck.
Hall was reportedly bonded out.
Hall had been arrested a few weeks before for driving drunk, but after a two week investigation, Moulton police charged him with several other crimes. He faces a total of seven charges, including DUI, leaving the scene of an accident with injury and failure to render aid or tell law enforcement about the crash. The victim spent several days in the hospital and underwent surgery.
After the investigation, police issued a warrant for his arrest. Hall turned himself in Tuesday night. Officers report evidence was collected from his vehicle during the investigation.
"We actually got a search warrant for the car which had been impounded in Colbert County," said Moulton Police Chief Lyndon McWhorter. "There had been a hold placed on the vehicle. Evidence was obtained from that vehicle, and at this time, the vehicle itself has been released."
The victim actually lives out-of-town and is back home in Kansas. A court date for Hall has yet to be set.
