HENDERSONVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

A bowling alley in Henderson County closed on Wednesday night after deputies executed a search warrant in connection to illegal gambling activity.

Chief Deputy Frank Stout said a tip to Crime Stoppers concerning illegal gambling activity led to the sheriff's office getting the search warrant for Tarheel Lanes on US 25 in Hendersonville.

Stout said during the execution of the search warrant they located a private room where the gambling was taking place.

He said the investigation is ongoing and charges are pending in the case.
