MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Montgomery police officers responded to a burglary at the old Harrison Elementary School Thursday morning.

Lt. Z.L. Dean with MPD says copper pipes and an air conditioning unit were stolen. Two other air conditioning units were damaged.

The school, located at 164 E. South Blvd., was one of eight MPS schools to close in 2011.

The investigation into the damage and thefts is ongoing.
