HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Police said multiple homes on Padgett Drive were hit by gunfire Saturday night.

Officers responded to a shots fired call on the 4800 block of Padgett Drive around 10:20 p.m., and as they arrived, they said they heard additional shots fired in the area.

Police said an investigation found that three separate residences on the road had been hit while the occupants were inside.

No arrests have been made. This investigation is ongoing.

Saturday's reports are the latest in similar incidents reported in the last week. On March 22, one apartment was struck on Binford Drive; one day later, a home on Uvalde Lane was also struck by bullets.
