The Step up, Speak out, End Bullying public service announcement contest deadline is today.

Fund for Civility, Understanding and Respect is the organization holding the contest, which was created in 2011 by Ron Barber, after the shooting. One of the missions for the organization is to promote civility, respect and understanding in order to improve the safety and well-being of the community.

There will be three categories open for the PSA contest - elementary, middle and high school.

The requirements for the video - it must be 30 seconds long, and show a compassionate response to both the bully and the target. The PSA should also promote the impact of intentional kindness and show how students can take care of their community by stepping up, speaking out and ending bullying.
