GUNTERSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Despite a fiery wreck Tuesday afternoon, only one injury was reported when a big-rig collided with a car in Guntersville.

Police said a white car was at a stop sign at the intersection of Highway 79 and Willow Beach Road in Guntersville around 6 p.m. When the driver pulled out into the highway, she was hit by an 18-wheeler.

The impact pushed her vehicle into the parking lot of Cherokee Elementary School.

The big-rig, meanwhile, flipped over and caught fire, but the driver made it out with no injuries.

The driver of the car was taken to the hospital for treatment and is expected to be okay.
