DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) -

Glasstream Powerboats, a Florida based company, is expected to bring 100 new jobs to the area with the potential to add 75 more in the future.

The Dothan City Commission voted Thursday to approve $1.55 million to purchase a building that will house a new manufacturing company coming to the city.

Houston County Commissioners also voted to approve $250,000 for the funding of the building.

The project was code named 'Project Blue' and was officially announced at the Dothan Civic Center.

Glasstream Powerboats says it manufactures 14 models of fishing and pleasure boats and has been in business for more than 30 years.
