MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - ANDY, WILL IT WORK? Wow Cup = #WISEBUY!

Just like us, the $10 Wow Cup is not perfect.

But it's close. Really close.

Its advertising claims the Wow Cup sports a specially-designed 'spill-free' rim "... that allows liquid to flow only when you drink. Once you stop, it forms a water-tight seal guaranteed!"

It's guaranteed to start an argument between third-graders Shane Faulkner and Sydney Scott of the University of Memphis Campus School.

"It's just a cool cup. I think it's going to work," said Faulkner.

"I don't think it will," countered Scott.

Just like in the commercial, we had both kids fill their Wow Cups to their filling lines with water. They guzzled a little bit -- it took some time getting used to the auto-seal lid.

Then I made them pour their Wow Cups over their heads.

No towels necessary. Nothing leaked from their Wow Cups.

"Nothing's coming out!" shouted Faulkner. "I was right all along!"

The Wow Cups didn't leak when I had the kids try to spill them on my iPad, too.

The only time the Wow Cup leaked was when it collided with a surface, like when the kids dropped them on a tile floor.

"A little bit, but not that much," Faulkner said.

Because of its pressurized seal, you can't put carbonated liquids in it, either.

But as much as we tipped, shook and even tossed the Wow Cups around, Shane Faulkner was right.

Sydney Scott had to swallow her pride --  along with the water in her Wow Cup.

"Yes, you were right," Scott sighed. "It works."

The Wow Cup is a WISE BUY.
