TARRANT, AL (WBRC) -

Tarrant High literally tried to wrestle up some money for its school in a fundraising event Friday.

Wrestlers from the Global Championship Wrestling celebrated victory and villains stirred up the crowd for the second year in a row to raise funds for Tarrant High School.

Fans of all ages got in the mix. One of the main events starred school resource officer Keith Smith.

"It's just getting the people out and getting them active. Getting them active in the school. Get something positive in here, fun to watch, instead of being stuck on the street and getting in trouble," Smith said.

Thanks to the help of the Alabama National Guard, all proceeds went directly to Tarrant High School. Tickets were $10.
