BOWLING GREEN, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Anyone in Wood County with a love for animals and time to spare maybe able to assist the Wood County Humane Society.

The Humane Society is looking for volunteers drivers for its weekly Humane Ohio runs. Drivers will be transporting caged animals to and from the vehicle.

Volunteers will need to commit up to two hours a day on both Thursdays and Fridays weekly. Volunteers drivers are needed between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m.

All volunteers must be able to lift approximately 30 pounds, have a clean driving record, and be comfortable driving an extended van.

The Wood County Humane Society, located in Bowling Green, Ohio, is a full-service, no-kill shelter. It provides care for homeless and abused pets and investigates cruelty complaints within the county.
