Here are the updated river levels and forecast levels for several major river sites in our area. These are current as of 6 p.m. Tuesday.

ALABAMA RIVER

Montgomery

Current: 36.6'

Flood Stage: 35'

Forecast Crest: 42.6' at 1pm Wed, will fall below flood stage Friday PM

 

Selma

Current: 40.5'

Flood Stage: 45'

Forecast Crest: 47' Friday evening, will fall below flood stage Sat PM

 

Millers Ferry (Wilcox County - west of Camden)

Current: 68.9'

Flood Stage: 66'

Forecast Crest: 75.5' Saturday evening, will likely stay above flood stage through the weekend

 

R.F. Henry Dam (Lowndes/Dallas County line, east of Selma)

Current: 117.3'

Flood Stage: 122'

Forecast Crest: 125.7' Friday morning. River will go above flood stage Wednesday evening and stay there until Saturday morning

 

CATOMA CREEK

Montgomery

Current: 24.9'

Flood Stage: 20'

River crested earlier today, it will fall below flood stage tomorrow

 

TALLAPOOSA RIVER

Tallapoosa Water Plant (affects northeastern Montgomery County/southern Elmore County)

Current: 28.3'

Flood Stage: 25'

Forecast Crest: 31.8' tonight, river will fall below flood stage tomorrow night

 

PEA RIVER

Ariton (northern Dale County, between Troy and Ozark)

Current: 17.2'

Flood Stage: 14'

Forecast Crest: 17.8' tonight, river will fall below flood stage tomorrow morning
