Alabama Archery State Championship held at Cramton Bowl

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

The National Archery in the Schools Program held the Alabama State Championship at Cramton Bowl Friday.

This year's tournament features more than 1,200 archers in grades 4-12 from schools across the state who earned a berth to the state championship after competing in a regional qualifying tournament.

Students compete in three divisions: elementary, middle and high school. Both individual and team trophies are awarded. They will compete for the title of state champion and the opportunity to advance to the National Championship on May 9-10, 2014, in Louisville, Ky.
