TROY, AL (WSFA) -

The Troy Police Department has arrested an adult sex offender for living in residence too close to a child care provider. Police arrested 25-year-old Michael Parham on Wednesday at a family member's residence in the Hillside Mobile Home Park.

Parham reported to the Troy Police Department on March 28 after being released from prison, and was then notified that he could not live within the mobile home park. Parham was not allowed to live there due to the mobile home park being within 2,000 feet of a child care provider.

Detectives found Parham at the mobile home park after conducting a check to make sure that he had not moved there. Parham was arrested and charged with being an adult sex offender in a prohibited residence location.

Parham is being held at the Pike County Jail on a $2,500 bond.
