CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Aroldis Chapman says he will be back on the mound Monday for the first time since being hit in the face by a line-drive in spring training.

Chapman sat down with the media on Friday afternoon prior to the Reds taking on the Rays at Great American Ball Park.

He states that he will have his first bullpen session on Monday.

Aside from feeling a little swelling between the eyebrows, the LHP says he is feeling no symptoms.

Chapman adds that he has no mental anguish when it comes to returning to the mound. He says he is often asked about his mental state.

"I know me, I know I'll be fine," Chapman responded.

Chapman resumed training last week. He has been jogging and throwing at Great American Ball Park since early April.
