AUBURN, AL (WSFA) -

Work on the sewer main that caused a hole near an Auburn city park continue, but authorities say with the rain and repaving, it will probably be at least until next Monday before the park reopens.

The situation began last Friday when a truck was partially swallowed after the sewer main at Hickory Dickory Park along East University collapsed.

Crews worked to remove the truck from the hole before repair work could begin. The crews were working on an issue at the site when the collapse happened.

Hickory Dickory Park will remain closed to the public until repairs are made.
