ENTERPRISE, AL (WSFA) -

A young boy was hit in the hand by a bullet at a yard-sale in Enterprise on Saturday.

According to police, officers responded to the 100 block of Tom Morris Lane after receiving a call of a juvenile being shot around 10 a.m. When officers arrived they discovered a 10-year-old boy had received a gunshot wound to his hand. The young boy was transported to Medical Center Enterprise.

Witnesses at the scene reported that they did not hear any gunshots, and no weapons were present at the scene. Police believe that the injury was caused by a stray bullet fired into the air by someone at a distant location.
