Prattville elementary school gets new computer lab

PRATTVILLE, AL (WSFA) -

Students at Daniel Pratt Elementary School in Prattville got to see their brand new computer lab Monday.

A grant from state Sen. Bryan Taylor and assistance from the State Department of Education allowed the school to purchase 30 computers and furniture to go with them.

"All of our testing is done electronically, except for statewide testing. We do performance series. It's helped us with benchmark testing. It's helped us just move our students forward to where they need to be," said Assistant Principal Katie Gazell.

The new computer lab is for fourth through sixth graders. First through third graders already have a lab.
